Goals-Knodledge

When I came to America, my goal was to improve my English and, more vocabulary and be more fluent in my conversations. I fell that I have done a lot of new words and learned lots of customs, now I know more English, but I know too. I have improved in be fluent in the conversations and when I have to speak in the front of the class or in front of a group of people.
I still need to improve the writing and oral speach, because I think that I can do it better than I have done.
English is very useful in business, so I need to know English to understand contracts or when I'm buying something, I think that English is very necessary to get a good job.
In one year from now I want to finish the High School, and in five years I want to finish the university and come to America to make a master, and the be successful in my job.

American Values

There are many values that appreciation of the U.S., such as being respectful to other people, look at the environment and promoting ecology, being clean and throw away the trash where it belongs, to respect the rules of traffic and some vital signs, look in the eye when are having a conversation, patriotism is admirable and I have to imitate all these things.

On the other hand maybe I can say that America is very individualistic or proud, but these things has their roots: most of the people who has those values is because they have worked hard to success or to earn material things.

I can highlight that Americans have risk taking and free expression like a value.

Let's go Dodgers let's go!

In the weekend we have been in  Dodgers' game at Saturday, it was amazing, my first time in a baseball stadium. The game started without announcement, but later we understood that the the game was happening.   Sincerely at the beginning i didn't know nothing about baseball because is my custom to see soccer or rugby matches.

On the other hand I have learned more about baseball: songs, expressions, rules of the game and names of the players.
I have had a lot fun doing the wave and singing with SUPP friends. We have started the wave, but it costed us too much because the people didn't cooperated at the beginning. Latter all the people were doing the wave, all clapping and singing.

Luxury at weekend

In the excursions last week, I could enjoy a little luxury in America: Beverly Hills and Hollywood, two places that lead to extravagance, unusual people and very expensive cars. When Kenny asked me what I wanted to buy, I replied that I wanted to go to the Ferrari dealership, and we laughed a while.

I think that to see one of the most expensive cars in the world (Bugatti Veyron), can open your eyes to see that you are in a very confortable area for the rich people. In USA you can see the other part of the world that is in many times in good status.

I have walked in one famous street in the world, it is in Hollywood,  The Walk of the Fame. There were many names of famous actors and singers recognized.

You will never stop learning

On days that I spent up today I learned a lot about American culture, some of their customs, their tastes, their food, their games, their vocabulary, etc.. In the class of Mr. Cooke I learned how to deal with a dialog between many people being polite and respectful and I learned too that Americans like eye contact when they are talking to you, similarly to my country.

Many of the custom are very important, like being clean and not littering the street or in any place and to respect and obey the rules as they are spoken.

About the time to get at classroom, if you are 5 minutes before it means be on time, if you get on time means you are late and if you arrive delayed to the class means that you are in troubles.

I think that all those things are very important: the meaning of responsibility and to be polite.

It means that you have time for have fun and time for study, time for play sports and time for clean you room or wash your clothes. When I having a break or in free time I used to be seating seeing the turtes, it gives me a lot of peace and I can stay spending a lot of time because is reallspellbinding for me.

4th of July, celebration day!

For the people who don't know a lot of this culture and country, the 4th of July is a federal holiday, is the commemoration of The Independence Day of United States Of America.

In this 4th of July I have spent a really excellent time: sharing with my friends the music, sports, fireworks and a delicious barbecue. This was a very interesting day with happiness, because all the people was smiling and staying with their families and friends while they remembered what means 4th of July for Americans.

The day began with a long trip to the park where students of the SUPP were going to celebrate the Independence day. When we arrived the park the interns had prepared a tent with food and cold drinks, it was very relaxing. Then we played many sports including basketball, american football or soccer and frisbee too! Latter when the sun was gone, we seated in the grass and enjoyed the fireworks that were amazing!

My first time in USA

My first impression in USA was a new landscape, cars, food and sweet brands, people, and different customs. A new country where the people who are in freedom, serves the law. Is new for me the to see the kids playing on the street without need to worry about the robbery.

I'am meeting a lot of new people and and study with new classmates just only a few days.

I really like the campus of Azusa Pacific University (APU) because this place has a lot of green places where I can stay under calm.

I have played a lot of sports such as ameerican football, soccer, rugby and child game called "shoot shield reload" with Kenny one of my new friends. I went to a shop called Rose where are clothes, shoes, accessories and more things.

My reason to be in USA is that I want to improve my English: the vocabulary, to be more fluent in conversations, upgrade my knowledge.

But also I want to make friends and be more social with the people that I already know.

And know a little more about this big country called United States Of America, his people and customs.
